Quick Note: Repurposing my Old Planet-X TT Bike

Every time I look at the Red Devil hanging on the wall, I feel a deep sense of guilt that I no longer ride her. And haven't for a few years now. But, I don't think it's likely I'll be returning to triathlon for the foreseeable future.

Most people would sell the bike. Not me. I've been pondering how best I could convert it in to a light, fast road bike instead. Granted, I've been in ponder mode for … a long time. It's not going to be cheap. But, it's such a fantastically light bike that I can easily lift with just two fingers. It would make an incredible daily road bike.

The last few days, it's been higher on my ponder list, and I've really been starting to think about how best to do this.

I started doing some searches, and came across a few forum threads (god, I miss proper forums). Finally, I eventually stumbled across someone who has done this very thing:

From TT to Road bike: Aero topped handlebars \ A little update on my winter project! As outlined previously I wasn’t getting enough use out of my Planet X TT rig so over the winter (still very much winter here in Tasmania) I’ve been… \ Two Wheels with TCPosted by tempocyclist.com \

I wasn't able to find anything after that. I might have to leave a comment, see if he replies. It would be great to know more about what happened to it.
