It's hard to believe that just a few weeks ago I could walk down the middle of the road with not a car in sight. There were no exhaust fumes, no noise - it was bliss.
The traffic has been building back up quickly and really isn't far off 'normal' levels as far as I can tell. It's been so long since I've needed to push the button at the traffic lights to cross the road, but today, not a chance of crossing without.
While I knew there was no way it would last, a little part of me wished it would never go back to how it was. The air was fresher, nature seemed a lot happier and riding my bike was an absolute pleasure without getting buzzed by lorries every 10 minutes.
